I’ve been involved with the bodybuilding, fitness and nutrition industry for over 18 years and have been competing in bodybuilding for 14 years gradually moving up the ladder in hopes of obtaining professional status this year.
In the beginning because of my love for the gym, friends suggested that I become a personal trainer as a career. I was worried spending my day in the gym would take away from my own passion from training. So after high school, I went through Emergency Medical Technician (E.M.T.) school and shortly after completing it decided it was not for me. I then attended the University of Florida and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation. Having difficulty finding a job after college, I ran a sports nutrition store and did personal training on the side. By the end of 2000, my wife had conviced me to take on personal training as a full-time career. Well, she was right and it was the best career move I’ve ever made.
I love being in the gym and helping others reach their goal. It is with great passion being able to teach others how to manipulate their bodies through training and nutrition. I’ve been fortunate enough to have worked with countless trainers, professional bodybuilders and fitness athletes in the past. This has allowed me to learn from a diverse group while picking up pertinent information to have me pass on to my own clients.
